Tom Cruise the gorgeous trend setter Every guy wanted to sport a flat top military haircut and become a pilot after Top Gun! Every guy wanted to own a pair of aviators and leather jacket too. The Top Gun look was an instant hit. His innocent good looks and that million dollar dimpled smile made it essential for heroes to be 'good looking'. His long tresses in Mission Impossible sequel, Vanilla Sky too became a rage amongst the youngsters.

Goes insane on Oprah Winfrey show Tom Cruise confessed he was 'in love' with Katie Holmes on the Oprah Winfrey show way back in 2005. He danced, punched fists in the air, jumped on the couch, screamed and went berserk. He was later spoofed on Scary Movie too. 


Scientology extremist? Cruise joined Scientology in the late 1980's and ever since has found himself embroiled in controversies surrounding the controversial religion. In an interview with Billy Bush on the TV show Access Hollywood in 2005 the actor expressed disappointment over Brooke Shields using Paxil to fight post-natal depression following the birth of her daughter Rowan. The actor said, ""These drugs are dangerous. I have actually helped people come off. When you talk about postpartum, you can take people today, women, and what you do is you use vitamins. Here is a woman, and I care about Brooke Shields because I think she is an incredibly talented woman. You look at, where has her career gone?" Shields didn't take Cruise's comment well and reverted, "His comments are dangerous. He should stick to saving the world from aliens."
