Karisma Kapur, back on the screen after a nine-year hiatus, continues from where she left off, donning several looks, going the whole distance in justifying her return to the thick of the action, and delivering a performance that is competent, if not entirely convincing.

Sanjana (Karisma) and her beau Rohan (Rajneesh Duggal) are the talk of the town. The high-flying supermodel nixes a prestigious Paris assignment because a whisper in her head tells her that something is about to go amiss. Her lover is kidnapped. Her life is thrown into turmoil. From there on, it is past forward all the way. Karisma makes a fair fist of it. The plot is a problem. It is all over the place

It is nothing but a love triangle that goes round in circles for 500 years. The film probably is a modern day memorial to the wannabe-masala-ended up-corny films of the late 80s and early 90s, but trust me, it is likely that those will entertain you far more than this one. And if you decide to watch it despite this review, be warned, it will haunt you through your future lives.

If you are a Ravi Kisen fan, only then would you love watching him tear his throat off. The film also has Arya Babbar. We would request him not to sign any more films.‘Dangerous Ishhq’ looks like a hilarious spoof on Dr Brian Weiss book rendered in a 3D format. Trust…if you watch this film, you will swear never to watch 3D ever again.

The film was also being touted as a Supernatural thriller. Supernatural it surely is, what with far-fetched characters like a sorceress ( Natasha Sinha) and a villain who chases Sanjana through generations. But there is nothing remotely thrilling about the film -- unless some exasperated laughs at the sheer absurdity of the plot can pass off as thrills. And a convoluted ending doesn't make it any better.

So here's a plea to all filmmakers -- regressive or progressive -- for the sake of Indian cinema and its viewers, Mirabai and Dr Brian Weiss should be kept as far away from each other as possible.

A flawless act by Karisma Kapoor, a crisp direction, intelligent editing and cinematography are the strengths. Some loopholes in the storyline, impactless dialogues, especially in the first half and the music are the weak points.
Overall, with Dangerous Ishhq, Karisma Kapoor is back with her new innings as a powerful actor, who can prove to be troublesome for the reigning Bollywood beauties.
